Thankfully, there are a lot of new shows to watch! I think this might the most anticipated season for me personally. I have never been this excited before. Lots of animes are making a comeback for another season after years of waiting and let me tell you, It. Is. Serious. And new ones are coming too! But let's see some of the animes premiering this spring...
Mekaku City Actors
Genre: Comedy, Mystery, Sci-fi, Psychological, Drama, Romance
Premieres: April 14
The story starts when Shintaro Kisaragi, a neet whose been shut in his room for two years, is forced to step outside because a cyber girl, Ene, messed up his computer. In the manga, extreme circumstances causes him to meet the Mekakushi Dan, a group of teens with weird powers. However, not much is revealed in the synopsis for the anime. But, if you've watched Kagerou Project or read the manga, you have a hint of what's going on.
This is probably my most anticipated anime of all spring and of 2014 unless Kuroko no Basuke shows up again this year (which is not likely). Kagerou Days started my love for Vocaloid and before I knew it, I fell in love with Kagerou Project. If the anime is as half as good as its pvs, we've got a masterpiece on our hands. It's really emotional and I have wanted a solid story to explain everything for a long time. And the casting? 1. They have Miyano Mamoru, 2. The voices are fantastic! They fit the character designs and I love them. 3. They have Miyano Mamoru. It's really hard to pick my favorite voice actors among the characters....THIS IS A GOOD SIGN. Long story short, I had feels and the pvs were splendid. And the cast is wicked. I have faith that this anime will rock.NOTICE: DON'T be fooled by all those big words in the genre category. The manga is more comedic then it is serious. But then again, I haven't read it in a while....
Love Stage!!
Genre: Comedy, Shounen Ai (or maybe Yaoi), Romance
Sena Izuki is a college otaku who was born into a famous, talented family. His life is dull until he appears in a commercial that he can not turn down. There he meets Ichijou Ryoma, a guy he costarred with ten years ago. Problem is that ten years ago, the commercial he was costarring in was for a wedding or something and he had to dress as a girl. He has to do it again. Oh, that and Ryoma is in love with him.
Ok. I know what some of you are thinking. But this was the first anime I heard my friends talking about and when it suddenly dawned on me: Spring was coming. So I checked it out and...it was actually good. I usually don't read this stuff but Love Stage!! was just too cute and funny! Now, all I hope is that it's a shounen ai anime, not yaoi. I like fluff, not hardcore stuff... But if it is...I'll be skipping scenes.
Note: Shounen ai means boy love and is usually fluff. Yaoi is the hardcore stuff.
