#takeachillpill

Okay, taking a break from 365daband before I exhaust their song repertoire. I'll bounce back up with some songs from Teen Top later though. Or maybe I'll just bounce around K-pop so that you won't be bored. I don't know a lot of V-pop artists so 365daband is really all I've got here.

NO GAME NO LIF- Oh Wait. Wrong Title.

Hey guys! Me again. Another one of 365daband's songs. This one is titled NO LOVE NO LIFE because what is life without love?

SAIGON, GET READY FOR ME

I love this song too. I JUST LOVE THEIR FUN AND YOUTHFUL SONGS. People, make way because, Saigon, Here We Come.

Woah...

That's all I can say. Woah. This has to be the coolest mv and song that 365daband has in their repertoire (right now). The song isn't too overpowering and repetitious. Awakening has a very fitting introduction into the video and...just watch it.

The Oddball

HAI CÔ TIÊN isn't my favorite song from them (far from it actually), but 2:09 makes up for most of what I don't like about this song. Unfortunately, it can't make up for the horrible choreography. It's too bad that the club beat and rap covers most of the song.

What Started It All...

Ladies (and gentlemen?), the song that started this whole 365daband obsession. Oh My Love! This song makes me so happy!

V-Pop Spam!

I fell in love with this band. Maybe not with their costumes, but I love how gentle and fun their songs are! People are calling them the Big Bang of Vietnam. That's super cool for them and Big Bang. Big Band is so big that they have people following after them! But I think that most (Asian) boy bands are that way, cutesy then more "mature." Anyway, I love this song, even with its not-so-subtle advertising. If you want some more song recommendations, why don't you guys Follow Me?

Something Old, Something New

So my friend recently (like a few months ago) got me into this band called 365daband. I checked out V-pop sometime ago and the video for ANH SỢ MẤT EM popped up but I forgot all about it. Now it's come back and is here to stay. I really like this song. It gives off a gentle feel and I hope you like it too.

At 2PM

You know where I am at 2PM? School. And since there's only thirty minutes left, it's time to GO CRAZY!

BTOB

Omg, I just saw this mv of BTOB's song You're so Fly and it's so much fun! And super funny. Watch it!

Broadening Horizons

I was listening to random K-pop boy bands and this song... This song caught my attention. Fiction by BEAST is just so...soothing? I especially love the vocals. It's simply a beautiful song.

BEAT MP3 2.0 BETA

So I ended up downloading the beta version and it. Was. Awesome. Even better than the original. You don't have to pay to play (yet) and it has a search bar. The graphics are cleaner and easier to read. It is so addicting to play. I just can't stop! If I knew about this earlier, I would've just downloaded the beta version and be done with it. There are still a few bugs or freezes, but it really good for a beta version. I totally recommend getting this app.

Beat MP3

Hey guys! I downloaded a new app yesterday called BEAT MP3 - Rhythm Game and it is amazing. It's a beat game that creates rhythms based on the songs on your mobile. There are two versions of it; the one with the name above and a beta version. I haven't downloaded the beta version so I can't tell you what that's like. The app is just so much fun to play! You can change difficulty modes, speed, and even how many lanes there will be. Even though it's a great app, it's kind of annoying. There's this coin system that limits how many times you can play each day. Thankfully, if you log in daily, they reward you with free coins. You can also earn free coins by watching commercials and the like. Beat MP3 has a unlimited version that frees you from the limit of the coins. It's just $2.99, but I can't find my gift card. 。・゚゚・(>д<)・゚゚・。 I'm not an expert on rhythm and I've just been playing on easy mode this whole time (because I suck at reflexes) so I can't tell you how accurate the beat map is. (-_-;) Anyway, it's super cool, and if you've found an app similar to this without limitations, LET ME KNOW.

P.S. It looks better on the app because it's smaller. You can't see all the gaps.

My Wishlist

Since it took me until after Christmas to know what I wanted, I'll track down what I want here! ...Wonder how long that'll last. But I know I want a gift card that can be used for anything, like a Vanilla Card or something. That way, I can get Zeiva Inc.'s games X-Note and Area X. The other one about an afterlife train or something sounds good too, but I know I want the X Trilogy (my nickname for it). The writing looks like so much fun and the openings...Oh my gosh. I want to play it so baaaaaaaaad! I'll go into detail about it later (or tomorrow). Next, I want Sarah J. Maas's books A Court of Thorns and Roses and the fourth book in the Throne of Glass series. No promises that I'll hold myself back from buying the books before Christmas though. I definitely want a hard cover copy of Throne of Glass. I'd also like an Amazon gift card and an iTunes gift card just because. Clothes are good too. Maybe some perfume. Candles. Wow. That's a lot more than last year. Well anyway, this was just me yapping to myself. Sorry for being boring.

Nicole

Produced by WinterWolves, Nicole is a dating sim or otome game. The protagonist Nicole goes to college and meets four guys (all of which names I have forgotten by now). It's all pretty normal until you hear that, so far, three college girls have gone missing for three days just to show up before the hour they would be officially declared missing. One day, Nicole drops her phone, and when she finds it, she starts receiving spooky messages from the abductor. Depending on what choices you choose, you get different routes. Nicole's dialogue is fun and relatable. On the other hand, the guys... They really are stereotyped. They aren't bad, but I never really felt a connection with them. Some of the accents were just trying too hard and becoming overly cheesy. The CGs were really good though. It's fun to pass time with, but I wouldn't really play it again.

osu!

Ok guys, so I've played osu on the computer before, but it was just really tricky and my computer wasn't the best. I especially hated whenever I had to spin the wheel and thought that it would be great if osu had an app for the iPad because it would be easier to spin. And it came to be! Granted, it came to be a long time ago, but I just got my phone so whatever.

Let me just say this: I suck at osu. I just do. I might get better one day, but as for now I have a D on an easy level. .·´¯`(>▂<)´¯`·. Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaah... Anyway, osu isn't easy (at least for me) on the first try. It's something to work at but fun. The only bad thing about the app is that you don't have a big song selection at all and you have to pay for the packs that exist. There are some free packs, but still... Overall, it's a fun yet tricky (oh so tricky) app and the time you spend on getting an S rank for the harder streams (or levels) will occupy most of your time, so you don't have to worry about paying $1.99 plus tax for the other packs just yet. The songs are pretty catchy, cool, whatever-they-sound-good, so nothing to worry about there. JUST FOCUS ON THAT 'SUNRISE'.

Debate: Story 3

In the second competition of my debate career, I was sitting in and waiting for my opponent with my judge. She had done debate before and we were sort of chatting about the teams at each school. Then my opponent shows up, red and panting from running from wherever he was to the room we were to debate in. With him, he had ten (individual) folders and proceeded to move five desks around to place two folders on each desk. As he read his speech, he walked around the room, winding through aisles of desks, to the front and back (from my perspective), his voice louder and softer depending on where he went. He did the same for CX too! My judge and I made eye contact, as if to say, "What on earth is he doing?" I was really unconfident because he had this value called 'utilitarianism' and I had no idea what it was. I couldn't pronounce it and I still can't. I couldn't even tell what his contentions were so I couldn't attack! Thankfully, somehow, I won and I won with thirty speaker points (the max at that tournament)! It must've been because...you don't walk around the room to give your speech. Moral of the story? You never know what happens. Play confident.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!

Hey guys!

There was this really awesome music video that just went really well with Got7's song A. It's just super cute and you have to watch it!

Debate: Story 2

Once upon a time, I was a newbie...

I remember my first debate competition very well. The school was freezing cold and would be again the next year I came to compete. I went to my first round of the day for LD and a girl by the name of Sarah beat me. Bad. I had tears in my eyes during the round. Not my finest moment. I still don't know how I got teary; I usually don't. But I survived!

Anyway, moral of the story: Don't get discouraged. Worst things have happened. One of the best LD debaters in my school started off his debate career by coming in with the wrong topic. Unless you can beat that, don't quit. And even if you can beat that, don't quit. Debate has so much to offer.

Found It!

Ever had the moment when you heard a song you liked and never found it before, but one day, while browsing videos on YouTube, you find it randomly? Just had that moment. Here is Girls' Generation's RunDevilRun!

PF Topic Jan. 2015-Resolved: On balance, economic globalization benefits worldwide poverty reduction.

I know how hard debate is. I've been doing it for two years going on third, and I still don't have the hang of it. So to help anybody who finds this, I'll post what ideas I do have on this topic. I'll be doing the LD topic for a competition so this might not be as thorough as I'd like it to be, but I hope it helps!

Resolved: On balance, economic globalization benefits worldwide poverty reduction.

First, what we need to do is understand what the resolution, with all its fancy, schmancy words, means. To novice debaters: your teachers might tell you to define every word to use up time at first, but soon you'll find out that there's simply not enough time to explain your points and define every word in the resolution. My advice? Find what contentions you want to use, get your evidence, and define every word that is necessary to WIN!!!

On balance-when all factors are taken into consideration (Oxford Dictionary)
Economic-of, relating to, or based on the production, distribution, and consumption of goods and services (Merriam-Webster)
Globalization-the development of closer economic, cultural, and political relations among all the countries of the world as a result of travel and communication becoming easy (Cambridge Dictionary)
Benefits-a good or helpful result or effect (Merriam-Webster)
Worldwide-happening or existing in all parts of the world (Merriam-Webster)
Poverty-the state of being poor (Merriam-Webster)
Reduction-the act or process of reducing (Merriam-Webster)

Another piece of advice, find the definition that best defines what you want the word to mean. Like cat could have to meanings that are similar, but different enough. One might be 'a feline' and another might be 'an animal with an attitude.' Pick the one that will most benefit your case.

Pro:

Lending Money-The dollar does not have the same value in the United States as it has in Africa. Micro-lending, I believe a small loan of some sort, can help businesses in developing countries. By giving a loan of $500 the money can go farther in Africa than in the US. And, somehow, economic globalization helps achieve this. Perhaps because an American business woman invests in a young African man's drive to succeed and loans him money to start up in a place where money goes farther than in the US. All thanks to travel and communication becoming easier.

Helping Each Other-If one country's economy is in bad shape, another can help it by hiring the people in that country. By hiring them, you pull them from poverty.

Education-If you do business in another country, the knowledge spreads in that country. Knowledge is power and if a person in poverty can grasp it, then they could get out of poverty if they know how to use it.

Awareness-When your business depends on other companies, you become aware of their problems. You become aware of poverty and start to help.

Con:

Exploitation-When the people of a poor company need money, they're desperate to get their hands on whatever job they can get. The big, bad wolves of the business world naturally take advantage of this and pay them less than, say, $1.25.

Dependency-If only one country produces a certain product (for example: toilet paper) and they go into war and cease production, you suddenly have a problem. Generally, dependency in trading, production, or in general isn't good. You depend on another country's state of economy or whatever. And that can be unreliable.

Loss of Culture-People say that they lose tradition when integration starts.

Once again, I really didn't go into detail with ideas and such because I had a mock trial competition on top of this, but I hope it gives you a start on the right track. Now onto my real priority: LD.

Debate: Story 1

Once upon a time...I was in seventh grade. And this, is the start of my debate career.

So some time ago, I was in seventh grade and my mom wanted me join the debate club and student council. Luckily, I somehow got out of joining student council, but...that was the case for debate. Eventually, I had to go to see the teacher for debate, but I didn't know how to get there so I asked a girl who I sort of knew how to get to the room to join debate. I was still hoping to get out of debate. She happened to like to debate. Yeaaaaaaah. So in the end, she took me to T-whatever and I signed up. The teacher asked if I was dedicated and the girl vouched for me. Internally, I was like 'NOOOOOO' because I didn't want to be in debate, but at the same time I was like 'Yes, I am a quick learner.' So that's how I joined the debate team. And that girl? She happens to be one of my best friends now. I guess it was fate that I joined debate because it's my life now. And I've met my best friend because of it. Who knew all this would happen just because I asked her where T-whatever was?

K-Pop: Teen Top

So I originally got into K-pop 2013(?) because of the band Boyfriend. Their song Boyfriend was really cute! I also liked Iyah because of how it sounded. Fast forward to the winter of 2014 and I was watching some Random Play Dance videos. I chanced upon seeing Teen Top and my love for the group blossomed. I had heard Don't Spray Perfume before and fell in love with the song, but never really fell in love with the group. This all changed. As soon as I watched their dance cut from Miss Right I fell in love. They just seem so close together and it's heart warming! Later on, I heard I'm Sorry and fell in love even more. What's more, I watched their dance for Rocking and...They were amazing! I've just come to love their music, dance, and interactions with each other and I hope them to have more success!

Q2 Avenue

So first, out of all the things that I have to talk about, is Christmas on Q2 Avenue. I'm debating on whether to call it CoQ2A or just Q2 Avenue, its nickname. But for now, that matters not because I am actually writing it. Unlike planning another one of my otome game projects for more than a year, I'm just writing this one. Not every little thing has been planned and writing it is fun! I've completed the general start and am working on Route 1. Hopefully, I'll finish Character X's three routes by the end of this year, but no promises. I don't know if I'll ever finish this project, but I certainly hope to. I also plan on making this game long, so that's part of the reason why this is going to take so long. Just posting this now, but I plan to post a summary nearer to the release unless somebody wants me to post it now. That's it for Q2 Avenue.
